In recent days in my small workshop I created such a set for a straight razor - a double Cordovan and cotton strop and a paddle double strop 
Cordovan. The Cordovan I used is a so-called crust cordovan without aniline finish. It has a delicate suede-like structure, is very delicate and has a good response.
